Love to know more brands of Norwegian yarn ❤ i will try to travel in the future there 💚
Thank you very much Inga for this podcast. Tusen takk.
But you don’t do blue!
Thank you. The video is fun and I expecially love that you gave us the word to use when searching for yarn store in Norway
Wow ❤🥰
Wow din røde kjole bliver SÅ smuk!!! ❤
Happy Belated 30th Birthday Inga 🥳🥰🎂💜! Listen I love a girl that loves a good deal because that’s me 😭. Do I need all that yarn? Maybe not but if I’m getting a discount, you bet I’m getting all 10 balls 😂🤣. The pink sweater looks so cute on Nelli 😍🥰. Great haul on all those Norwegian yarn!!
Så mye herlig garn 😊 Kjekt å få vite litt hvor de forskjellige garnfabrikkene ligger i forhold til hverandre.
Wow! You did show restraint!, I would have been overwhelmed. Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Inga and thank you for this tour! I just spent a weekend in Bergen where I visited all the yarn stores and went to Hillesvag Ulvafabriek for forgann...it was a highlight. I just wanted to say to any Australians going to Norway ... be aware that our govt doesnt have an agreement with norway for wool imports so you need to declare it and make sure it is dyed because they want to know it has been scoured at minimum temperatures. Hillesvag were the best and provided me with a certified letter to give to customs which got me through ok. Also,.come with a plan and ne prepared to abandon it. The volume of in store samples and the variety of yarn available is overwhelming compared to what we see and hear about here. And finally enjoy and keep following Inga for inspo :)
Thank you for this podcast of a yarn haul. The amount of yarn you bought wow and wow. We cannot any of these yarns in South Africa. I live the colourwork pattern for Nellie'. I would say you are a warm autumn. Take care and enjoy spring ❤😊
Wow ! What a beautiful project ! It’s lovely Inga
Yay! Blankets ❤ I wish I had more time to knit because there is so much that I want to do And there is this sample blanket with different motives that I want to do but.... it looks daunting Congratulations on everything! I like to hear about your road trips because it is nice to picture the landscape while knitting in the passagers seat
This wool journey is a dream come true for every knitting enthusiast! A worthy experience for your 30th birthday that you will never forget! Congratulations belatedly and Happy Knitting
You're 30?? Wow
Wow Nellie will be the best dressed babe in Norway x
Wow...yarn heaven! What a beautiful way to celebrate. 😊
It really is!
I would love to go to Norway 🇳🇴 ❤ It looks like a beautiful place and knitting hunting is a super plus
Happy 30th birthday Inga!! I can’t think of a more perfect way to spend it. Thank you so much for sharing your yarn journey with us. It’s great that you are already getting Nelli accustomed to yarn shopping ❤🧶
Thank you so much!
Happy 30th birthday! Love your yarn haul, what a great way to celebrate 🧶🎂
Thank you! 😊
So fun! Thanks Inga!!! Stay well! - Kimberly
Great to have a useful light for you Inga ❤ It is great it gives you a very similar natural light. I love to see your finished dresses for nellie. I got inspired with your projects to buy some rauma finull and some green yarn 💚 I am in love with your poppy red dress ❤
Thank you! 🤗
You are such a natural in every way! Love every moment of your podcast! Such an inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing your life with us and showing off your beautiful country! Jus spectacular! Happy Crafting!
Thank you so much!
Ouch! I just bought Tynn Peer Gynt today here in the US and it was the equivalent of 94 Norwegian Kroners per ball (9 USD). I love that it still smells like sheep. :)
I loved this episode! Lots of beautiful goodies. I was in Norway last year on holiday & stayed in Stavanger for a few nights. The Sandnes Garn mill was on my list but we ran out of time to visit. I’m still kicking myself that I missed it but loved seeing your footage & hearing about it. I’ll just have to visit again🤞🏻
You have to come back🙊
Fabulous! All your yarns amazing and Patterns ! You are excellent tour guide for yarn stores etc! So lovely to see Nellie loved her pink dress with frill around shoulders and gorgeous colour pink! Think I need to come to Norway 🇳🇴 on a yarn 🧶 buying tour! I only live across North Sea near Newcastle! Umm one of these days! Thank you as Alford your podcast! Xx i
You are so welcome!
You're a warm autumn, I think. Second best would be warm spring (like the orange you showed about 25% into the video), which also looks great on you.
I think so too
❤saludos.tqm
What a perfect way to spend your birthday, happy 30th 🎉❤
It was!
Hi Inga!! Hope you are doing great :) I am used to Plötulopi, I tried knitting with Forgarn without silk mohair and couldn't, the yarn kept breaking... do you use it on its own? You had such a beautiful birthday celebration !!! hihi
I have but its alot nicer/easier to knit it together with silk mohair
Hi Mommy! I smiled when you said that English was not your native language. You sound American w the exceotion of certain words that might sound simmilar to Norwegian. Otherwise, every episode you get better & better. Look at yourself on this video & compare it to the 2nd or 3rd episode. You have ALWAYS had great grammar, and pretty great pronunciation. Nobody could fault anything you say/how you say it. However, the added touch to your American accent is the colloquialisms you feel more & more confidence using. I speak French, Spanis, English, & a tiny remaining bit of Italian (I spoke it 40 yrs ago, but the one adult that would always speak it, passed 40 yrs ago). Anyway, if I try Spanish, I don't always end or construct a word the Spanish way, I'll have to debate it in my head, because the other Romance Languages & even English, sound very simmilar. But l rather know other languages than get a word semi wrong every so often. Anyway, you sound great, either American or Canadian. 👍💯😉
Thank you😘 im definetely more comfortable behind the camera now and slot more into the english knitting lingo’
Tusen takk for bestillingen og omtalen! Gleder meg å se hva du lager med garnet du bestilte 🥰 6:12
I will come to West Coast of Norway within few weeks and in my plan is to visit at least Rauma Mill. I would love to visit them all and luckily I can book new trips to Norway west coast 😍
Please do!
Loved the info on some products I've been wanting to try. I won't be getting them for those prices but now I can feel a bit better about my purchase. Hey there, question for you? What's the music playing at the end? I loved it and would love to get my hands on it to listen to while knitting. Thank you!
Its called slow rollout by blue dot something
@@knittingtraditions Thank you, I appreciate it. I lost my dad about a month ago and I'm having trouble finding things I can listen to. Either to much or to not enough and makes me sad. Definitely going to find this because it was wonderful and made me happy lol
Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us ALL the amazing yarns you purchased to celebrate your 30th birthday. A wonderful yarn haul for sure!! And thank you for the sneek peek of baby Nelli! 💕💕💕
Thank you Inga for such a wonderful video, I loved seeing your birthday yarn haul. 🧶
Happy birthday, Inga! I have updated my yarny-adventure list, as I'm heading to Norway very soon. I am very excited to experience the sites, hiking, sauna-going and of course....yarn shopping. This episode came at the perfect time. Thank you very much!
You found so many wonderful bargains! And I can barely wait to see the beautiful projects that yarn turns into. Thank you for sharing your yarn haul, and your project ideas. I just love your podcast!
Oh my gosh Inga! Thanks for sharing. I’m traveling to Norway at the end of June stopping in five cities including Bergen as the southern most point. I appreciate the reminder to use Strikkegarn as a search term.
Inga, I really loved this video! So cool to havetl that little tour at the end and recommendations for staying at different places in Norway. ❤ Thanks and take care!
Happy Belated Birthday! Can’t wait to see your haul!
So fun! I'm definitely adding yarn shopping in Norway to my bucket list! Who knows when that may happen, but a girl can dream!
Inga, is the Viking Garn Alpaca Bris cosy and squishy?
Id say yes but still with a wooly feel of that makes sense
Great episode! Your edits to yourself crack me up 🤣
Oh my god that spinning wheel behind you is SO beautiful 😍 where did you get it?
Bought it second hand from a local woman🤗
It’s beautiful I hope I come across one like that one day 😊 also if you ever feel like making a spinning video would LOVE to see it ❤
I was on holidays in Bergen last summer, and there's a shop called Bergen Broderiservice, which I recommend to go to - I went there twice... It is 5 min walking distance from the Bryggen area. They have a lot of Sandness Garn, and I bought a lot at 50% off sale. They also stock hand dyed yarn, and your typical brands like Viking or Knitting for Olive. Found the place by accident and loved it! Google Street view does still show the previous business on the premises, but it gives the correct location.
Il have to check it out myself!
I was in Bergen just over a week ago and two doors down from there is Faer which had a lot of hilllesvag yarn and a variety of cashmere bases as well. Both are on Ovregaten.
@@ClaireMiller-gv2we Ugh, cannot even begin to tell how annoyed I am that I did not spot it! I bet you got some lovely yarns there! I swear, the next time I go to Norway, I need a bigger suitcase...
@Tutinella1984 I filled most of my backpack with yarn in the end and my partner took my clothes home :)
Girls thank you, I’ m going to Bergen in July.. the direction of our road trip is done ❤
What a great way to celebrate your Birthday! 🎉 I learned so much about Norwegian yarn and some geography! Yay. Enjoy your yarn and look forward to see what you make! Happy birthday!
Hope it was a happy significant birthday for you Inga? Fabulous to see your ysrn haul and you helped me sort out the question of which yarn to knit my cardigan out of...tyn Peer Gynt.
Yay, thank you!
What a dream trip! Thanks for being our guide to the wonderful yarns of western Norway!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh, a Nelli sighting! I was surprised at how light her hair is. I remember very well how beautiful your country is, even though my trip was a very long time ago (you were three years old). In all of Europe, only Switzerland was competitive in beautiful scenery.
We were both blond ss children so will be exciting to see how she ends up:) switzerland looks beutiful! I have yet to go there
I’ve never seen so much yarn!! What a fun trip. Happy Birthday! 🎈30 was one of my favorites!
Thank you! 😊
